Welcome to StarFocus, the photo weblog for Catch A Star Photography. I'm so glad you stopped by! For some time now I've wanted to start a blog to have a more 'up to the minute' way to document what's going on at our studio....to share sneak peeks of recent sessions, my thoughts on some of the wonderful kids I've photographed, and recent studio news. I plan to update frequently, so check back soon!
But first, a little information about me.....my name is Heather, and I'm the thrilled owner of Catch A Star Photography. You can view our website here: www.catchastarphotography.com. We specialize in relaxed, natural portraits of babies and children, working primarily in black and white. Children are beautiful just being themselves, and I'm passionate about documenting who they are, right now. I'm the lucky mom to two gorgeous kids (ok, so I'm biased :) ), Lauren and Aidan. They'll soon be 7 and 5, which both shocks, thrills, and saddens me. If you're a parent, you know what I mean! It's fascinating to watch them grow, and with each new stage you're awed at how incredible their growth is, while simultaneously your heart aches just a little for the younger child they are no more. I also have a pretty cool husband :P, Kevin, who is an all around great dad by day while I work, and keeps the world safe by night as a deputy sheriff. (No, he can't fix your speeding ticket!)
To start off the photos, here are a couple recent ones of my kids at the beach. Many of you know I love to shoot at Caspersen Beach in Venice....those rocks are wonderful! I've shot there quite a bit recently and will share some more images from those sessions in coming days.
